2005 Toyota Tacoma

The new Toyota Tacoma has been changed from a compact truck to a mid-size truck for 2005. It is available in both 4x2 (2 wheel drive) and 4x4 (4 wheel drive) models.

The Tacoma's tough V6 engine is now a 4.0 litre with 245 HP. It is available with a 5-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission (even in the 4x4 Double Cab model)

Driving this new mid-size truck is something you will really enjoy! Standard features include a new composite box - it will eliminate the need for a box liner, anti-lock brakes on all models, up to 6500lbs. towing capacity for the 4.0 litre V6, and a CD player in every truck!

Toyota is second to none when it comes to quality and reliability. Each Tacoma has a complete stainless steel exhaust system, double overhead camshaft engine, VVTi valve timing technology from Lexus, and a self-adjusting timing chain that replaces the timing belt to eliminate a major maintenance expense. As soon as you pop the hood, you will see how well the engine compartment is laid out and begin to see why the trucks last so long.

The Toyota Tacoma is going to make a difference in the truck market. If you were thinking Toyota trucks are too small - think again.
