Salesperson Certification is basically determined by 4 things: 1. Customer service index ( CSI % ) - About 6 weeks after purchasing a car, clients may receive a customer satisfaction survey from Toyota Canada in the mail. The CSI % is calculated by the returned surveys. To be eligible for an award, the salesperson's CSI must be equal to or above the ( Pacific Zone ) average. ( Usually about 93% ) 2. Monthly Product exams - each month a salesperson must take a Toyota product knowledge exam online and attain at least 80% to pass. You must pass at least 10 out of 12 exams for the year. 3. Attendance at Toyota Canada training - each year Toyota Canada makes training available to all Product Advisors. It is up to the dealer and the salesperson to attend the training. Seminars cover new models, competitor comparisons, truck master courses, and Toyota sales process training. 4. Number of vehicles sold - points are awarded for each vehicle sold. To qualify for the Gold Award, a minimum of 100 cars new cars must be sold.
